Building Connections: Community Night at Alta
Updated: Sep 4
At Alta Climbing, we believe that climbing is more than just a sport; it’s a way to build a strong, supportive community. Our community night at both the Chandler and Gilbert locations are a testament to this belief. These events bring climbers, families, and local businesses together to celebrate, connect, and support one another.
What is Alta’s Community Night?
Alta’s Community Night is a monthly event held at our Chandler and Gilbert locations. These evenings are packed with fun activities, delicious food, and plenty of opportunities to get to know your fellow climbers and local businesses. Here’s what you can expect at a typical Community Night:
Food Trucks & Vendors: Enjoy a variety of tasty treats from local food trucks and vendors. From gourmet tacos to artisanal ice cream, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Bingo Card Raffle & Prize Giveaways: Participate in our exciting bingo card raffle and stand a chance to win amazing prizes. It’s a fun way to engage with the community and take home some cool goodies.
Games & Movies: Relax and have fun with our selection of games and movies. Whether you’re looking to unwind after a climb or just enjoy some entertainment, there’s always something to do.
Award Ceremony: Every month, we honor a member and an employee of the month. It’s our way of recognizing the dedication and spirit that make our community so special.
Supporting Local Businesses
We are passionate about supporting local small businesses, and our Community Nights provide an excellent platform for them to showcase their products and services. If you are a local vendor and would like to participate in our monthly community nights, you can sign up here. We believe in fostering a strong local economy by giving businesses the opportunity to reach new customers and grow.
Why Community Matters
Climbing can often feel like an individual sport, but at its core, it is about teamwork, support, and encouragement. Whether you’re spotting a friend, sharing tips on how to tackle a tricky route, or celebrating each other’s achievements, the climbing community thrives on mutual support.
Our Community Nights are designed to extend this spirit beyond the climbing walls. They offer a space for climbers to meet new people, strengthen existing friendships, and feel more connected to the community. It’s about creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued, regardless of their climbing experience or background.
Get Involved
Alta’s Community Nights are open to everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned climber, a beginner, or someone who just loves being part of a vibrant community, you’ll find a warm welcome at Alta. Here’s how you can get involved:
Attend Community Night: Mark your calendar for the next Community Night and bring your friends and family. It’s a fantastic way to spend an evening, meet new people, and enjoy the community spirit.
Become a Vendor: If you run a local business, consider becoming a vendor at our Community Nights. It’s a great opportunity to connect with potential customers and promote your products or services.
Participate in Alta Gives: Alta Gives is Alta’s way of giving back to our community! A few times a year we serve at local food banks, run toy drives, can food drives, and donate back to our community. Come and be a part of these events and get involved in serving the community.
Join Boulder League: Looking for a friendly team bouldering competition where you can meet friends, grow your skills, and experience the community of Alta? Check out Boulder League at Alta Boulders!
Looking Ahead
As we continue to grow and expand our community events, we are excited about the future. Our goal is to create an inclusive, vibrant, and supportive climbing community where everyone feels at home. By fostering connections, supporting local businesses, and celebrating our shared passion for climbing, we believe we can make a positive impact on both our members and the wider community.
Join us at Alta’s Community Night and be part of something special. Together, we can climb higher, celebrate our achievements, and build a stronger community.
