The 3rd Annual Tri-ALTA-Thon at Alta Climbing was a remarkable showcase of endurance, determination, and community spirit. This event challenged participants to push their limits across three unique and demanding disciplines, proving that anything is possible with the right mindset and effort. While many people who started never finished, we honor the incredible Trialtathon finishers who conquered the Trialtathon and cemented their legacy in Alta history.

What Is Alta’s Trialtathon?

The Tri-ALTA-Thon is not your typical fitness event—it’s an all-encompassing challenge designed to test participants in climbing, cycling, and fitness. Here are the requirements included:

  1. Climbing: A vertical mile—equal to 105 50-foot routes, 352 boulder problems, or a combination of the two.

  2. Cycling: Riding an impressive 100 miles in our Stages Indoor Cycling Studio classes.

  3. Classes: Completing 10 diverse group fitness classes, including Muscle Up, HIIT, Release & Roll, and Yoga sessions.

These incredible feats require not just physical strength, but also mental grit, preparation, and a commitment to pushing through challenges.
